‘Jeep Vader’ the Force is Strong with this Overland JKU Jeep

If you’re into Jeeps and overlanding, this blacked out 2016 JK Unlimited owned by Jeff Young of Alabama will bring you to the Dark Side. As a member of Rocket City Wranglers in Huntsville, AL, Jeff is an avid fly fisherman who often travels out of state. “I quickly realized traveling to the best fishing spots that I needed to prep my Jeep for overland camping.”, says Jeff.

To give a steadfast mount for the roof top tent, Jeff added a robust Rhino Rack System, that mounts additionally to the roll cage for additional support. The load rating reflects this, at 450 lbs dynamic and 650 lbs static.

The roof top tent is by CVT, and Jeff has also added a CVT awning and tent annex for privacy and weather protection climbing in/out of the tent to ground floor. The back of the Jeep has a storage compartment area that keeps Jeff’s camping gear. Also multiple storage containers are mounted on the exterior of the Jeep, along with a rear cargo rack to carry extra jeep camping gear.

A 4” rough country lift gives enough clearance to fit 37”, 12.50R20 Toyo Mud Terrain Tires that wrap around some sweet looking Mayhem Wheels.

Heading up the front of Jeep Vader is an EAG bumper, with a 10,000 lb Warn winch. Lighting is sufficiently amplified with 6 RUN-D LED Cubes and a 20” Cree LED light bar.

Rounding out the interior, electronic goodies consist of an Alpine Restyle radio and multimedia system, JL Audio speakers/subs and amps and a Midland CB Radio.
