Video Tips for Ultra Lightweight Backpacking Gear Setup
Here’s a great video by Will Wood on ultra-lightweight gear setup for your next backpacking trip. Will claims his base gear setup weights just 10 lbs, and the total weight for his pack comes in at 20 lbs, 5 ounces, including 7 lbs of food, 1 liter of water, rain gear and winter gear. Will used this setup for a 70 mile hike on the Appalachian trail and week-long backpacking trips.
For a backpack, Will is using a ZPack Arc Blast backpack that supports 52 liters of space and is 16.5 ounces. Most of the other gear Will’s ultralight backpacking setup includes:
